CRUMBLE
1/2 cup butter softened
1/4 cup shortening
1 cup packed brown sugar
1-1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon soda
1-1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
FILLING
600 g frozen raspberries or blueberries, or strawberriesor amixture of the three.
1/2 cup sugar
Prepare filling by rinsing berries in cold water and draining. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 400°.
Grease a 9 x13 x 2 inch baking pan.
Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Mix in remaining ingredients. Press half the mixture evenly in bottom of pan. Add sugar to berries and spread filling evenly on top. Top with remaining crumble mixture, pressing lightly.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until light brown.
